And one of the most anticipated event is the annual search for Mutya ng South Cotabato. This year, a total of fifteen (15) beautiful South Cotabateñas are vying for the most coveted crown. Nine (9) ladies are representing their respective municipalities while six (6) are bringing the banner of different institutions and companies in the province.
The Municipality of Surallah is not represented in this year's Mutya ng South Cotabato according to reports because of lack of funding while candidate from the Municipality of Lake Sebu did not meet the height requirements for the pageant.
