When you hear of Tboli, South Cotabato, the majestic Lake Holon or the Tboli tribe comes to mind immediately. However, this eco-cultural tourism center of South Cotabato offers much more. Another natural attraction you should visit is Basag Falls (also called Imba Falls), located in Brgy. Basag, less than an hour away from General Santos City (via Glamang, Polomolok).
Although unpopular, Basag Falls is a hidden paradise. I visited the falls last Saturday through a friend, and find it very beautiful. It is around 40 feet tall, surrounded with trees, and huge rocks can be found all over. The waters comes from a spring, cold and very refreshing.
Basag Falls is also very accessible, it can be reached through a short trek of about 10-15 minutes from the barangay proper.

HOW TO GET THERE
If riding a public transport from Koronadal or General Santos City, ask the driver to drop you at the crossing going to Glamang in Polomolok. There are a lot of habal-habal (motorcycle) that can take you to Brgy. Basag, tell the driver that you're going to the falls. Fare is at P120 for special trip, around P50 if you wait for other passengers.
From the barangay proper, it will take you about 10-15 minutes of easy hike to reach Basag Falls. You'll cross a river and pass through a corn field.
