The Tuna Fest fever can now be felt in downtown Gensan as the city dubbed as Tuna Capital of the Philippines is set to celebrate the Tuna Festival 2016.
Preparations are now on full swing and this year's organizer - the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has finally released the Gensan's Tuna Festival 2016 schedule of activities.
Among the must-attend activities during Gensan's Tuna Festival includes the Sugbahan sa Dalan, Tuna Float Parade, the Street Dancing Competition and many more..
As shown in the calendar of events below, activities for this year's Tuna Festival will start as early as August 22 with nighty live band performances, festival market and carnival at the Oval Plaza. The opening ceremonies will be on September 1 with the Tuna Float Parade happening from 3 PM and the culmination will be on September 5 which will be also the 48th Charter Anniversary of the City of General Santos.
