Water tubing adventure now in Lake Sebu, a must-try

Lake Sebu, dubbed as the "summer capital of South Cotabato" and one of the most popular tourist destinations in SOX or SOCCSKSARGEN region has a new offering especially for adventure-type tourists- the water tubing.

Formally launched as the newest adventure attraction in Lake Sebu during the celebration of  Helobung Festival 2016, the Extreme Lake Sebu River Tubing adventure can be enjoyed in Sepaka River in Brgy. Tasiman.

We were invited to experience this thrilling adventure last week and we survived it- it was fun!

The site is very accessible to vehicles and is only about 10-15 minutes from the Poblacion of Lake Sebu. Trained crews gave us a short briefing and assigned us our river guides at the receiving center and we were also given safety gears which include helmet and a life vest.

From the receiving center, we then trek for about 5 minutes to the starting point of the Extreme Lake Sebu River Tubing. At the starting point there is a waterfall which is about 15 feet tall, the water was cold and crystal clear, huge boulders can be seen all over. We then found ourselves wet and braving the raging rapids of Sepaka River.

Our Extreme Lake Sebu River Tubing adventure in Sepaka River lasted for about 40-45 minutes and it ended in another waterfall! Truly an awesome experience, it's way better and much more exciting than our previous water tubing adventure.
