The Province of South Cotabato and the municipalities of Surallah and Tupi are among the awardees of the 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
This year, a total of 28 provinces, 61 cities, and 359 municipalities are recipients of Seal of Good Local Governance. These LGUs passed the “4+1” core assessment criteria set by the DILG as follows: (1) financial administration, (2) social protection and tourism, (3) disaster preparedness, (4) culture and arts, and (+1) peace and order.
In Region 12, aside from South Cotabato, the Province of Cotabato (North) is also in the list of awardees together with the cities of Kidapawan, Cotabato and Tacurong.
Other awardees from Region 12 are the municipalities of Kabacan, Mlang, Pigcawayan, Kiamba, Malungon, Bagumbayan, Columbio, Surallah and Tupi.
