In a recent Facebook post, Lopez recounted a fascinating dinner meeting with the National President of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), where he and others were deeply impressed by Tamayo’s accomplishments in South Cotabato—especially in pioneering free healthcare through the province’s Zero Billing Policy in all government-run hospitals.
Beyond his governance track record, Lopez also revealed a personal story of resilience—sharing that Governor Tamayo had once suffered a heart attack, flatlined, and miraculously recovered.“We were all impressed by what he has accomplished for South Cotabato, especially in healthcare. I can only wish the same for Cebu,” Lopez wrote.
Lopez’s statement highlights the growing recognition of Tamayo’s brand of leadership, which is anchored on integrity, efficiency, and people-centered governance. His strong advocacy for free education, healthcare, and social services has turned South Cotabato into a model province, earning praise from both local and national leaders.“We all agreed it must have been for a greater purpose. With his trailblazing track record and relatively young age, I look forward to seeing him run for state leadership in future election cycles, or at the very least, be appointed to a national executive position,” he added.
As calls for his potential role in national leadership grow stronger, Tamayo remains focused on his mission—delivering Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo for the people of South Cotabato while leading PFP, the ruling party of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
His proven track record, combined with his humility and genuine public service, has made him a rising figure in Philippine politics—one that many believe deserves a bigger platform to create even greater impact.
